Roald Dahl Day
On the 15th of September the Year 6 of Great Hollands really celebrated the writing of Roald Dahl with our own Roald Dahl day!
The Year 6 dressed up as their favourite Roald Dahl character today and wrote their own character studies on yellow paper and in pencil just like Roald Dahl did. We are investigating why he is such a good writer and magpieing his style. The children really got to grips with the use of exaggeration, made up words and similes and metaphors just like Roald Dahl. We would like to say a big thank you to our wonderful Year 6 parents who helped their children really look fantastic! We are recovering from Alyssa's very scary Miss Trunchbull impersonation!
