Our current topic in Year 1 and Year 2 is 'What makes us like other animals?'  We were so excited recently to have a visit from Zoolab.  The ranger brought animals to each classroom and we were able to look at and handle them.  We learnt to be very careful and quiet around the animals so as not to frighten them.  We are learning about animals in most areas of the curriculum.  In English in Y1 and Y1/2 we are learning the story of Handa's Surprise.  Perhaps you could ask your child to tell you about the animals in the story.
