Condition Improvement Fund Success

Maiden Erlegh Trust secures £0.6m grant from the DfE to replace roofing at Great Hollands Primary School.

The Trust is pleased to announce that it has been successful in securing around £0.6m in grant funding to replace the aged and deficient roof coverings at Great Hollands Primary School.

The school will have the remainder of its roof covering replaced, with the work due to start in the coming months.

Jonathon Peck, Chief Financial and Operations Officer said: "I am delighted that we have been successful in this round of the Condition Improvement Fund. The fund was heavily oversubscribed so the fact that we have been fully funded for this project is incredibly pleasing. My thanks go to the Estates team and our partners, AMR Consult, for helping us to secure this funding.

Richard Ferris, Headteacher said: “I am thrilled that the roof refurbishment bid has been successful. The new roofing will provide the protection we need for our beautiful, modern spaces beneath. A big thank you must go to all members of the Trust who have managed to secure the funding which will have such a positive impact on the daily life of the pupils and staff.”
