Summer Activities

Please find below some useful links and information about events happening over the summer break.

Lexicon Competition

As mentioned in the newsletter, last week The Lexicon launched a competition for local children under 12 to get involved with this summer.  The competition asks children to design a forest-themed footprint for their activity trail during August, with the winning designs being displayed in retailer windows, as well as an opportunity to win a gift card from the Lexicon.  Designs can be created using crayons, felt-tip pens, paints or even a computer and must be submitted by Friday 6th August 2021.  Full details, including a downloadable template can be found on the Lexicon website at: https://lexicon-bracknell.prod01.london.platform-os.com/events/follow-your-own-footprints?from=home&num=1

Summer Reading Challenge

We hope the children have visited their library or www.wildworldheroes.org.uk to sign up for this year's Summer Reading Challenge.  It is a great way to encourage children to read during the long summer break, and it's completely free!  By reading books, children collect stickers to complete a special 'Wild World Heroes' poster.  Pop along to your local library to find out more!

Library Events

There are lots of other library events running this summer across the local area and details of these can be found on the Bracknell Forest website here: https://www.bracknell-forest.gov.uk/libraries/library-events/library-events-children.  Sessions must be booked as spaces are limited.  Full details can be found on the above link.

We wish all our parents, carers, staff, pupils and their families a relaxing and safe summer break!
